Perform a Print Head Cleaning

Print head cleaning is performed to solve printing problems (such as no ink appears on the paper, printing is blurred, or printing contains white streaks) that are caused by clogged print nozzles.  Normally, performing print head cleaning operations several times will solve problems caused by clogged print head nozzles.

1. Confirm that the printer is powered on.
   
   
2. Press and hold the <Resume/Cancel> button. When the Power lamp blinks once, release the <Resume/Cancel> button.  (The Power lamp will blink and cleaning will start.)
   
   
   
   
3. When the Power lamp stops blinking and lights, the cleaning operation has completed.  (It will take about 30 to 60 seconds until the Power lamp lights.)
   
   
4. After print head cleaning is completed, confirm whether clogged nozzles have been resolved by performing nozzle check pattern printing.
