Solution

The Printer Beeps and the Power Light Flashes Orange

2 Beeps - Paper out, paper jam, or paper feed error
Set the paper correctly. If a paper has jammed in the printer, remove the jam and press the Resume button.

3 Beeps - Paper jam
If a paper has jammed in the printer, remove the jam and press the Resume button.

4 Beeps - Out of ink
Replace the empty BJ ink tank.

5 Beeps - The BJ cartridge is not installed correctly
Make sure the BJ cartridge is installed. If the cartridge is already installed, remove the cartridge, make sure nothing is obstructing the contacts (the orange cap and tape are removed), reseat the cartridge, and lock the cartridge locking lever down completely.

6 Beeps - The BJ cartridge not installed correctly
Remove the cartridge, make sure nothing is obstructing the contacts (the orange cap and tape are removed), reseat the cartridge, and lock the cartridge locking lever down completely.

7 Beeps - The BJ cartridge may be defective
Turn the printer off then on again. If the error continues to occur, remove the BJ cartridge and make sure the contacts on the cartridge and cartridge holder are clean. Make sure the orange protective tape has been removed from the print head and install the cartridge again. If the error continues, you may need to replace the BJ cartridge.

8 Beeps - Waste ink tank nearly full

9 Beeps - Automatic print head alignment failed
Either a BJ ink tank has run out, the print head nozzles are clogged or strong light has entered the paper output slot preventing the correct print head alignment.

10 (or more) Beeps - Service Error
Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the power outlet, and wait a few minutes. Plug the power in, turn on the printer, and try again. If the error continues to occur, the unit may need to be serviced.
