Correcting a skewed, cut-off, or divided scanning result (MP Navigator Scanners)

Depending on settings in MP Navigator, the image may not be scanned properly.
In such a case, it is necessary to match the settings in MP Navigator to the document.

If the document cannot be scanned properly, please do the following:
  1. Match the type of the document on the platen glass to the document type set in MP Navigator.
  2. For example, when scanning a color photo, select Color Photo in Document Type of MP Navigator.

Match the size of the document on the platen glass to the document size in MP Navigator.
For example, when the document size is A4, select A4 in Document Size of MP Navigator.

Memo: Auto Detect is set in Document Size as the default.

Changing the document type and the document size

  1. From MP Navigator, click the Specify button.
    • If scanning from the Scan/Import section of MP Navigator:

    • If scanning from One-click mode.


  2. Change the current settings. The Scan Settings window will be displayed.
    • Select the proper type of the document to be scanned in Document Type.
    • Select the proper size of the document to be scanned (A4 or letter size, for example) in Document Size.


  3. Click OK.
