Solution

Ways to prevent mistransmission

  • You can set the machine to require you to enter the destination number twice. This prevents misdialing.
  • You can set the machine to check the recipient's information before transmitting the fax.

Require number entry twice

  1. Make sure the machine is turned on
  2. Press MENU.
  3. The menu screen is displayed.
  4. Select  Setup, then press OK.
  5. Select  Device settings, then press OK.
  6. Use the up / down arrow buttons UPDOWN to scroll to FAX settings, then press OK.
  7. Scroll to Security control, then press OK.
  8. Scroll to FAX number re-entry, then press OK.
  9. Scroll to select ON, then press OK.

Check receipt information

Set Check RX FAX information to ON following the procedure below. When active, the printer / fax does not transmit unless the received information matches the number. This feature is not available when you send a fax manually.

  2. Press MENU.
  3. The menu screen is displayed.
  4. Select  Setup, then press OK.
  5. Select  Device settings, then press OK.
  6. Use the up / down arrow buttons UPDOWN to scroll to FAX settings, then press OK.
  7. Scroll to Security control, then press OK.
