Description

Learn how to use the caller ID service to reject incoming calls with the PIXMA G4270.

Solution

If you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the printer detects the sender's Caller ID. If the sender's ID matches the condition specified in this setting, the printer rejects the phone call or fax reception from the sender.

Contact your telephone company to confirm whether it provides this service.

Specify the setting following the procedure below.

  1. Make sure the printer is powered on.

  2. Select Settings on the HOME screen.

  3. Select Device settings.

  4. Select Fax settings.

  5. Select Security control.

  6. Select Caller rejection.

  7. Select Subscribed.

  8. Select whether to reject a phone call or fax reception from an anonymous number.

  9. Select whether to reject a phone call or fax reception out of the subscribed service area.

  10. Select whether to reject a phone call or fax reception from the specified numbers.

If you select Reject, you can register the fax / telephone number to reject.

When the message is displayed on the LCD, select Yes, then register the fax / telephone number to reject.

Even if you select Reject, the printer rings once.
