How to clean the paper feed rollers

If the paper feed rollers are soiled, they may slip and fail to feed paper. If paper is not being fed properly, follow the procedure below to clean the paper feed rollers.

1. Remove any paper loaded in the auto sheet feeder, and then turn the printer on.

2. When the printer is powered on, press and hold the <Reset> button until the power lamp blinks three times. Cleaning starts automatically when you release the button. (The printer rotates the paper feed rollers 10 times.)

Wait until cleaning is completed (about 30 seconds).

3. Repeat step 2 several times.

4. To check that cleaning has been performed properly, load one sheet of A4-size (or letter-size) plain white paper in the auto sheet paper.

5. Press and hold the <Reset> button until the power lamp blinks three times. (The sheet of paper is fed through the printer and ejected.)

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 two to three times.
