Find out how to select the correct Network name when communicating with the printer using Mac OS X®.

Solution

Follow the instructions below to make sure the Network name on your printer matches the one on your on your Mac® computer.

Check the name of the Network on your printer

  1. Print out your network (LAN) settings and find the listing for the Network name.

Check the name of the Network on your computer

  1. Select the Wi-Fi icon Network icon on your computer.

  2. Look at the Network name (the one with the check mark) and compare it to the Network name on your printout.

  3. If the Network names don't match, change the name listed on your computer to match the one on the printer.
