If the message A Printer Error Has Occurred appears when trying to print, check the printer itself to see if an error code is displayed on the LCD or if the Alarm and / or Power lamps are flashing.  If an error code is displayed or if the Alarm and / or Power lamps are flashing, take the appropriate steps needed to try to resolve the error.  Refer to your printer's On-screen Manual or Online Manual for instructions.

If there is no error message displayed on the printer, or if the Alarm and / or Power lamps are not flashing, restarting the Print Spooler may help to resolve the problem.  Follow these steps to restart it.
 

1. Press and hold the Windows key  and press R.  This will open a Run box.
    
2. In the Run box, type in services.msc and click OK.
   
   
    
3. In the Services window, scroll down to Print Spooler.  Right click it and then click Restart.
   
   
    
4. After the Print Spooler has restarted, close the Services window and attempt to print again.

If this does not help, stop the Print Spooler by following steps 1 and 2 above.  Then, instead of restarting the Print Spooler, click Stop.  Then, follow the steps below to remove any documents in the Print Spooler.
 

1. Press and hold the Windows key  and press R.  This will open a Run box.
    
2. In this box, type the word spool and click OK.
   
   
    
3. In the spool folder window that opens, open the PRINTERS folder.
   
   
    
4. Delete any files.
   
   
    
5. Close the PRINTERS folder.  Then, open the Run box as listed above and type services.msc and click OK.  Scroll down to the Print Spooler and right click on it.  Click Start.
   
   

Try printing again.

If this does not work, restart your PC and attempt to print again.
