How to clean the paper feed rollers

When the paper feed rollers are soiled, they may slip and fail to feed paper. If paper is not fed properly, follow the instructions below to clean the paper feed rollers.

1. Remove paper from the sheet feeder if there is any, and turn on the printer.

2. When the printer is powered on, press and hold the <Resume/Cancel> button. When the power lamp flashes three times, release the button. Cleaning will automatically start. (The printer will rotate the paper feed rollers 10 times.) Wait until the cleaning operation completes (about 30 seconds).

3. Repeat operation 2 several times.

4. To confirm that cleaning has been performed properly, load one A4-sized (or letter-sized) sheet of plain white paper.

5. Press and hold the <Resume/Cancel> button. Release it when the power lamp flashes three times. (Loaded paper will be fed and ejected.)

6. Repeat operations 4 and 5 two to three times.
