How to clean inside the Printer

Make sure the printer is off before you open the front cover to clean inside of the printer.

Note: If the printer is on when you open the front cover, the print head holder will automatically move to the center, and this may cause injury or damage.

1. Using a cotton swab, carefully clean any ink from around the ribs. (Clean the area around the ribs indicated by the arrows.)

2. Clean the areas indicated by the arrows. (Refer to the enlarged photograph of the ribs below.)

3. Carefully clean any ink from around the ribs. (Refer to the enlarged photographs of the ribs below.)

Note: When cleaning the printer, do not touch the film, or the white grease. If you touch the film, or grease gets onto other parts of the printer, this may damage the printer. If you get grease on your hands, wash your hands before continuing cleaning.

Do not touch the <1> grease or <2> film.
