1 Remove the outer box by grasping the box flaps and pulling up. Unfold the inner box to expose the machine.
2 Remove the styrofoam from the top and sides.
3 Remove the plastic cover from the machine. Use the handles (on the left side) and the hand grips (on the right side) to lift the machine. Be sure at least two people lift the machine. Set the machine on a steady and flat surface such as a table top or printer stand.
4 Remove all shipping tapes.
5 Open the ADF, then remove the cushioning styrofoam and protection sheet.
6 Pull out and remove the paper cassette, then remove the stabilizing styrofoam and the shipping tape.
7 Replace the paper cassette.
