Securely Install the Print Head

When Error 5100 is displayed on the printer LCD, the print head may not be installed properly.

Resolve the error following the procedures below.

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Open the cover by sliding the cover open switch to the right.
   
   
3. Lock down the print head completely by pressing the tab on the print head lock lever
   
   
   
   
   
4. Confirm that the print head is installed properly.
   
   
   
   
   The print head lock lever is not locked completely.
   
   
   
   
   The print head lock lever is locked.
   
   
5. Close the cover and turn on the printer.
