Runtime error with Digital Photo Professional 4 on Windows

When running Digital Photo Professional on Windows, some users have experienced runtime errors when running recent versions of the application. Please see the temporary solution below, which can be utilizied until an update is available for DPP.

Temporary Solution

  • Please remove the following folder:

    C:\ProgramData\Canon_Inc_IC\ELRT
 

Permanent Solution

  • An update for DPP4 that corrects the issue is planned for availability as soon as possible.

Until the mentioned update is available, please make use of the above temporary solution to eliminate the runtime error for Digital Photo Professional.
