List of Flashing Light Errors - PIXMA MG3020, MG3022

Description

Understanding what the flashing lights mean on your PIXMA printer and how to resolve them.

Solution

Depending on the error, a Support Code (error number) and a message display on the printer panel.

When a printer error occurs, the lights flash in one of two ways:

  1. Repeatedly orange, see Table 1 for more details.
  2. Alternately between green and orange, see Table 2 for more details.


1. Light flashes repeatedly orange

Table 1 describes the cause of an error by the number of repeated orange (Alarm) lamp flashes
Count the number of flashes, then click on the Support Code link in the right column to learn how to resolve the error message.

2. Light flashes alternately between green and orange

Table 2 describes the cause of an error by the number of alternating green and orange (On and Alarm) lamp flashes.

How to find the support code on your computer

When there's an error, you will see flashing lights on the printer and a message may appear on your computer. 

Note The screen differs depending on the (OS) Operating System you use.


On a Windows computer:

Support Code and message on Windows platform.


On a Mac® computer:

Support Code and message displayed on Mac OS.
