*4 Specify [Rough Paper 1] when a paper jam occurs or when you want to improve the fixation on printing coarse paper (16.0 to 23.9 lb Bond (60 to 90 g/)) with [Plain Paper] selected.
*5 You can load custom size paper that is 3.00 to 8.50 in. (76.2 to 215.9 mm) wide and 7.36 to 14.00 in. (187.0 to 355.6 mm) long.
*6 You can load custom size paper that is 3.00 to 8.50 in. (76.2 to 215.9 mm) wide and 5.00 to 14.00 in. (127.0 to 355.6 mm) long.
*7 Specify [Rough Paper 2] when a paper jam occurs or when you want to improve the fixation on printing coarse paper (24.0 lb Bond to 60.3 lb Cover (91 to 163 g/)) with [Heavy Paper] selected.
*8 You can use heavy paper of up to 27.9 lb Bond (105 g/).

IMPORTANT
About print speed
  • The print speed may drop depending on the paper settings for the size, type, orientation, and number of copies.
  • When continuously printing paper whose length is less than 10.69 in. (271.4 mm), the print speed may drop gradually.

  • See "e-Manual" (HTML manual) in the CD-ROM supplied with the printer.
When using labels or envelopes
  • Using the following types of paper may result in paper jams that are difficult to clear or may result in damage to the printer.
- Peeled labels or partly used labels
- Coated labels that are easily peeled off from the backing sheet
- Labels with uneven adhesive
- Envelopes with fasteners or snaps
- Envelopes with address windows
- Envelopes with adhesive on the surface
- Wrinkled or creased envelopes
- Poorly manufactured envelopes in which the glued parts are uneven
- Irregularly-shaped envelopes
