When rollers are worn, paper jams and double feeds tend to occur, you can replace the rollers, according to the following procedure.

This exchange roller kit is not included with the scanner. Purchase an exchange roller kit separately, as shown below.

Compatible exchange roller kit: 4623B001

1. Remove the Top Cover.
   
   
   
   
2. Remove the Roller Cover.
   
   
   
   
3. Open the Feed Supporter to the left.
   
   
   
   
4. Pinch the Separation Roller at the rim and the fixing lever, and then remove it with pressing the Separation OFF mode button.
   
   
   
   If the Separation Roller is not removed easily because of the fixing lever position, turn the Pickup Roller in anticlockwise direction by hand.
   
   
   
   
5. Pinch the Feed Roller at the rim and the fixing lever, and then remove it.
   
   
   
   
6. Pinch the Pickup Roller at the rim and the fixing lever, and then remove it.
   
   
   
   If the Pickup Roller is not removed easily because of the fixing lever position, turn the Pickup Roller by hand.
   
   
   
7. Attach the Pickup Roller.
   
   
   
   
8. Attach the Feed Roller. Align the notch on the roller axis with the hole on the roller.
   
   
   
   
9. Attach the Separation Roller with pushing the Separation OFF Mode button. Align the notch on the roller axis with the hole on the roller.
   
   
   
   
10. Close the Feed Supporter to the right.
    
    
    
    
11. Replace the Roller Cover.
    
    
    
    
12. Carefully replace the Top Cover.
