Description

Manually print on both sides of the paper if your printer does not have Duplex printing options in the OS X driver.

Solution

For printers such as the PIXMA MX492 / MX490 without Duplex printing options in the mac OS X® driver, the following instructions will walk you through how to print on both sides of a sheet of paper.

Duplex Printing

  1. From inside the application click File, then Print.

  2. In the Print Dialog Box select Paper Handling from the pop-up menu.

  3. From the Pages to Print menu select Odd only.

  4. In the Page Order menu select Reverse.

  5. Click Print.

  6. After print is completed for this side of the paper, reload the printed pages as a stack:

  • Printed side up.

  • Top edge in.

  1. Repeat the above steps, but select  Even only for Pages to Print and Normal for Page Order.

Note If the document contains an odd number of pages, the last page will remain in the paper feed tray.
