Household Power Outlet Accessory You can power the camera with a household power outlet by using the DC Coupler DR-E18 and AC Adapter AC-E6N (each sold separately).
For the power source, using DC Coupler DR-E18 and AC Adapter AC-E6N (each sold separately) is recommended. If you use a battery, make sure it is fully charged.
If there is insufficient charge left in the camera battery, the camera cannot communicate with EOS Utility. In this case, replace the battery with a charged one, use the DC Coupler DR-E18 and AC Adapter AC-E6N (each sold separately). Your computer does not supply power to the camera through the interface cable.
