To accommodate the sensor size of APS-C DSLR cameras, the image circle (the circular area in the image plane formed by the cone of light transmitted through the lens) has been made smaller. To accommodate the smaller quick-return lens of the cameras, the back focus (the distance from the rear element of the lens and the sensor) is shortened further (short back focus) than that of the regular EF lenses. The date/time (back-up) battery maintains the camera' s date and time. The battery' s service life is about 5 years. If the date/time is reset when the main battery is replaced, replace the back-up battery with a new CR2016 lithium battery as described below.
By adjusting the diopter to suit your eyesight (with or without eyeglasses), the viewfinder image will look clearer. The camera s adjustable dioptric range is -3 to +1 dpt.
Attaching the Strap Pass the end of the strap through the camera s strap mount from the bottom. Then pass it through the strap s buckle as shown in the illustration. Pull the strap to make sure it does not slip out of the buckle.

Other devices attached to the computer can block proper communication. Check to see if there are any devices (other than USB keyboards or mice) connected to the computer. Disconnect the device( s ) and restart the computer. Once the computer has restarted, attempt your process again.
