Fan paper prior to inserting it into the Automatic Sheet Feeder (ASF). Slide the paper guide [2] snugly against the left edge of the stack. Note: Be careful not to press the paper guide strongly against the stack, or the paper will not be fed properly. If an error message appears on the display, press <STOP> to clear the error .

Sending a Fax * If an error occurs during sending, the fax beeps intermittently for a few seconds and an error message appears on the display. If this happens, correct the error and then press <Stop> and then try sending the document again.

Volume Control HIGH or LOW Set the fax (handset or extension phone) to ring (in FaxTel or FaxOnly mode) ON or OFF Set the volume of the line (Hook) monitor (sound during dialing). 0 (off), 1, 2 or 3 Set the volume of the error alarm sound. 0 (off), 1, 2 or 3 Set the volume of the keypad.
