Some applications may not support functions such as auto -detection of the paper size. Scanning documents with an applicaiton such as this will result in abnormal scanned image.

Scanning Results Are Not As Expected CAUSE: A function not supported by the application was used.SOLUTION: Some applications do not support functions such as auto -detection of page size, so scanning with such applications will product abnormal scanned images. If abnormal image appearance seems to be application-dependent, try scanning with auto-detection disabled.

* If you select [Film] in the Select source category and scan once, and then use the Copy or Scan scanner button to scan the next time, the same settings will be used to scan the next item. Be particularly careful when you use the scanner buttons and switch to a paper/photo item. You are recommended to switch back to the [ Auto mode] and click the [ Apply ] button when you will not be continuing to scan items of the same type with the same settings.

Notes on Connecting the Scanner When operating the scanner via applications such as CaptureOnTouch, make sure to set the Auto Start switch to OFF. If the scanner is not connected in the order above, the computer may not start up.
