Error "Cannot load driver" when using the DR-C225W

If you are connected via USB and receive this message, make sure the Wireless button on the back of the scanner is set to "OFF". By default, it is set to "ON" and you will receive this error message if trying to use the scanner via USB.

Common Problems and Solutions If an error message appears due to insufficient memory while scanning is in progress, exit the application, change the scanning conditions (e.g. reduce the resolution or page size) and then try scanning again. In addition, the amount of memory used can be contained by turning off [Moire Reduction] and [Please change prevent bleed through and remove] if they are set to on.

The " C " error code appears in the operating panel when the upper unit is open. ... When the [Rapid recovery system] check box is enabled in the advanced settings dialog box, you can resume a scanning operation even if it is interrupted by a paper jam by removing the document and resuming from the document that was being fed when the interruption occurred.

Restore the registry Double click on "RepairReg.exe", which is stored in " C :\Program Files (x86)\Canon Electronics\CaptureOnTouch\Tools". "Restoration Tool for Scanner Registry" launches. Click the [START] button.

DR Scanner driver not found / TWAIN Error

The first thing that needs to be done is the temp folder needs to be cleared (if possible). Navigate to this location: C :\Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\Temp and delete what you can from this folder.

Unzip the downloaded file. Open Windows Explorer and browse to your " C :" drive. Double-click on the "DR Scanner" folder.

The pickup roller is located in the middle of the upper unit. Do not hold the protrusion on the upper unit when you open it. Doing so may deform the pickup roller or causing a feeding error .
