Check the SCSI IDs of all SCSI devices connected to the system and set a unique SCSI ID for the scanner.
CMS-XML The scanner is not recognized when connected by USB.
If you have verified that the cable is the one that came with the scanner and is functioning properly, it is possible that the Windows assigned USB ID has become corrupted and needs to be reset. To do this, please download (and run) the "Restoration Tool for Windows Registry" (located under the "Utilities" tab of "Drivers & Downloads" on the scanner product page).The function of this tool is to reassign the USB ID's to the correct scanners.

When opening the upper unit, do not grasp the roller unit in the center. Doing so may distort the rollers and lead to feeding errors .
