Resetting the camcorder to default settings (VIXIA HF R50/R52/R500)

Solution

To reset the camcorder back to default settings please follow the below directions.

Note: This procedure resets all of the camcorder's settings. Including the date and time and all Wi-Fi settings and passwords (R50 and R52 only).

1. Open the LCD panel and power on the camcorder.

2. Touch the Home icon.

3. Drag left or right to display Other Settings.

4. Touch Other Settings.

5. Touch the wrench icon to display the System Setup menu.

6. Drag the menu down to display Reset All.

7. Touch the highlighted section to select it.

8. Touch Yes to confirm resetting all settings. The camcorder will reset and then return to the initial setup screens.
