Using EF lenses with the XL H1A or XL H1S
Solution
EF lenses can be used if the EF Adapter XL is used.
Because the autofocus system on this camcorder is different from that of EOS cameras, the lenses are focused manually. Lenses that feature an Image Stabilizer will be able to utilize this function.
attention:
- Only for recording in SD mode.
- Setting the camcorder to HD mode will cause the camcorder to display the error [HD Incompatible Lens].
- EF-S lenses cannot be used.
The angle of view is equivalent to that of lenses that are approximately 7.2x (16:9) (35mm film equivalent) the specified focal length printed on the lens barrel.
