Restart the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility *1

When attempting to scan via network connection using the operation panel, the LCD message "Set the PC to start scan." is continuously displayed.



*1The following information assumes proper network setup, USB functionality and network printing has been confirmed.

Verify the correct scanner is selected, then turn off and restart the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility

1. Open the Library folder on the hard disk, then double-click Application Support, Canon, ScanGear MP, Utility, then Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector.


2. Select the Canon XXX* series Network from TWAIN Data Source Name.

*XXX refers to model name

ex. MP970


3. Select the MAC address of the machine from Network Device List, then click Apply.

Important
If more than one machine of the same type exists on the network, multiple MAC addresses will be displayed. In that case, select the MAC address of the machine you want to use.

indicates that the applied machine is not found on the network. Check that the machine is turned on, and that the network communication is enabled.

To confirm the MAC address, display the network setting information using the machine's operation panel. For details, refer to the manual of the machine.

4. Click Exit.

5. On the menu bar, click the IJ Scanner Utility icon and select Turn Canon IJ Network Scan Utility Off.


6. On the menu bar, click the IJ Scanner Utility icon and select Turn Canon IJ Network Scan Utility On.

7. In the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility menu select Open Settings... , select the machine to use and click OK.
