How to select and set the self-timer mode.

The self-timer has two release delays, 2 or 10 seconds. Choose  to minimize the risk of camera shake in critical situations, or  to put yourself in the picture
Open the palm door and press the blue button marked "DRIVE"
Turn the main dial until the self-timer mark with the desired release delay appears
After composing, press the shutter button halfway to confirm focus and exposure
Press completely to start the timer
