How to set long (bulb) exposures

Solution

The shutter stays open for as long as you press the shutter button. By connecting the optional Remote Switch 60T3 to the camera's remote control socket, you can keep the shutter open without hold the shutter button pressed. Use this mode when long exposure are required such as for pictures of night scenes and fireworks displays.

While pressing the shooting mode selector turn the main dial until "bulb" appears in the LCD panel

Release the shooting mode selector

Set the quick control dial switch to I

While looking at the LCD panel turn the main dial or quick control dial until the desired aperture value appears in the display

Press the shutter button completely and hold it pressed for the desired length of time
