Discs recorded in the VR mode do not need to be finalized. However, many standalone DVD players are unable to read discs recorded in VR mode. If your DVD player is unable to playback VR mode discs we would suggest using the camcorder as a playback device instead.
Discs recorded in VR mode will display the VR icon on the camcorders LCD screen as shown below.
