With network connection, you cannot scan images into applications other than MP Navigator EX. Connect via USB to scan into other applications.
Multiple users cannot scan at the same time.
1. Press the SCAN button on the machine.
The machine enters Scan Mode.
2. From Select PC, select a computer to which to send scanned data.

Each computer appears as "User Name Computer Name."
3. Select the Document type.
To scan from the platen, select Document (platen) or Photo (platen). To scan from the ADF (Auto Document Feeder), select Document (ADF simplex) or Document (ADF duplex).

Select Document (ADF duplex) to scan sides of the documents automatically.
When Document (ADF duplex) is selected, you can specify how to output the paper after scanning from the ADF (Auto Document Feeder).
4. Place the document face-down on the platen.
Alternatively, load the documents face-up on the ADF (Auto Document Feeder).

If you select Photo (platen) in Document type, allow 3/8 inches (1 cm) or more space between the edges of the platen and the document. If not, some images may not be scanned at the correct positions and sizes.
Business cards, panorama photographs and bordered photographs may not be cropped accurately when scanned. In that case, disable Compress scanned images when transferring in the Scanner Button Settings tab of the Preferences dialog box and scan again.
5. Select what to do with the scanned image from Scanned data processing.
The following scan modes are displayed:
Save to PC: Scan and save documents.
Save as PDF file: Scan documents and save them as PDF files.
Attach to E-mail: Scan documents and attach them to e-mail by using an e-mail software program.
Open with application: Scan documents and open them with a specific application.
Advanced settings for these modes can be changed from your computer.
