Lithium Battery Flight Restrictions - Printers/Fax

Effective from January 1, 2008, the new rules on lithium batteries carried aboard passenger airplanes were implemented. The applicable Canon inkjet products are listed in the table below.

In addition, please follow the instructions at the airport or from the airline security staff.

*1: Be sure to take protective measures against short-circuits (such as by taping the activation terminals, by use of the battery cover, or by use of the Canon battery package).

*2: Ensure that the printer power switch remains in the "OFF" position.

Note: Carry-on baggage: The baggage a passenger carries with him/her on the plane and typically stows in the overhead bin or beneath the seat in front of him/her. Checked baggage: The baggage a passenger gives to the airline for handling prior to boarding the plane.
