Memory Card Protect Settings
The following instructions will have you press several different buttons. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with those buttons.

- Make sure that the machine is turned on.
- Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel or the arrow keys to select
<Settings> on the HOME screen, then press the <OK> button.
The Settings screen is displayed.
- Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel or the arrow keys to select
[Device settings], then press the <OK> button.
The Device settings screen is displayed.
- Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel or the arrow keys to select [Advanced settings], then press the <OK> button.
- Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel or the arrow keys to select [Read/write attribute], then press the OK button.
- Use the Easy-Scroll Wheel or the arrow keys to select from the following items and then press the <OK> button.
| Not writable from PC |
The Card Slot is used only for reading. Be sure to select this mode when printing photos from a memory card. |
| Writable from USB PC |
The Card Slot is used as the memory card drive of a USB connected computer. Data can be written into the memory card from the USB connected computer. |
| Writable from LAN PC |
The Card Slot is used as the memory card drive of a Net work connected computer. Data can be written into the memory card from the Net work connected computer. |
Note:
* Remove the memory card before changing this setting.
* If you set this setting to Writable from USB PC or Writable from LAN PC, card direct printing cannot be done. After you finish operation of the memory card dedicated drive, be sure to set it back to Not writable from PC. When you turn off the machine, Writable from USB PC or Writable from LAN PC will be canceled and the setting is returned to Not writable from PC when you turn on the machine next time.
- Press <Stop/Reset> repeatedly to return to standby mode.
