Loading and Printing on Rolls (iPF605)

These are the basic steps for loading and printing on rolls.
Follow the steps below to switch to a new roll or a roll of a different type or width before printing.
<Note>
- If a sheet is loaded in the Tray , remove it before this procedure.
- Before printing banners or other long documents, spread a clean cloth or paper on the floor or use the Output Stacker to prevent the printed surface from becoming dirty from the floor after printing.
- If you will wait for the ink to dry after printing and simply eject the document, you can deactivate automatic cutting and print a cut line instead.
1. Turn the printer on.
2. Select roll paper as the paper source.
3. Remove the Holder Stopper from the Roll Holder .
4. With the Roll Holder sideways and the edge of the roll paper facing forward as shown, insert the roll in the Roll Holder from the left. Insert the roll firmly until it touches the flange (a) of the Roll Holder .
5. Insert the Holder Stopper from the left in the Roll Holder as shown, pushing it firmly in until the flange (a) of the Holder Stopper touches the roll.
6. Open the Roll Feed Unit Cover.
7. With the edge of the roll paper facing up toward you, insert the Roll Holder shaft into the guide grooves (a) of the Roll Holder Slot on sides. Make sure that the colors of the Roll Holder shaft ends (b) and the guide grooves match.
8. Insert the edge of the roll paper into the Paper Feed Slot (a) and feed it manually until you hear the paper feed tone.
Close the Roll Paper Unit Cover .
10. Specify the type and length of the paper.
* Steps 11 are not required, if a barcode has been printed on the roll and you have activated automatic detection of the remaining roll paper. The paper type and amount of paper left are automatically detected.
11. Complete settings in the printer driver for the type of paper and other details.
12. Send the print job.
