Connect the USB cable to the Printer

If the computer does not detect the printer, ensure the USB cable connects directly to the printer. If the printer is connected to the computer via a USB splitter, disconnect the cable from the splitter and connect it directly to computer.

1. Connect the flat end of the USB cable to the computer (type-A receptacle).
   
   
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the printer (type-B receptacle).
   There shouldn't be any resistance when connecting the USB cable to the printer. If the cable does not easily slide into the printer's port, look at the end of the connector. The shape of the connector should match the port on the device.
   
   
   
   Note: The USB connector should only fit in one-direction into the type-B receptacle on the printer. Please ensure the connector is oriented properly before inserting it into the printer.
