Locate the Serial Number
The serial number of the PIXMA MP480 is located inside the printer, as shown below.
- Make sure that the power is turned on, and open the Paper Output Tray.
- Lift the Scanning Unit (Cover), then hold it open with the Scanning Unit Support (C).

- Wait until the printer carriage moves to the center position and then locate the serial number, which is on the print platen to the right of the ink cartridge holder.
It starts with four letters and ends with five numbers. Example: ABCD12345
