Shooting Close-Ups/Infinity Shots

Macro

Use this mode to shoot close-ups of flowers or small items.

You can shoot an object at a close range from with a minimum focusing range of 1 - 50cm (0.39 in. - 1.6 ft.).

Infinity

Use this mode to record regular subjects and distant subjects. It can also be used for compositions combining near and distant subjects and landscapes.

1. Press the button to select the Macro mode. The selected Macro or Normal / Infinity mode appears on the LCD monitor. To change from ( Macro / Infinity ) use the button to display .

To cancel the macro/infinity mode, press the button and select from the display.

  • Use the LCD monitor to compose close-ups in macro mode since images composed with the viewfinder may be off-center.
  • The exposure may not be optimal when the flash is used in macro mode in the range of 1 - 30 cm (2.0 in. to 1.0 ft.).
  • Using the flash in Macro mode may cause image edges to darken.
