How to set exposure compensation

Exposure compensation is used to alter the camera's standard exposure setting. To set the exposure compensation amount you can either turn the

dial while looking through the viewfinder or press the <+/-> button and turn the

dial while looking at the LCD panel. The exposure compensation amount can be set up to +/-3 stops increments

Set the

switch to <ON>

Focus the subject and check the exposure level

Turn the dial to set the desired exposure compensation amount

The exposure compensation icon (+/-) and exposure level indicator will be displayed in the viewfinder while the exposure level indicator will be displayed in the viewfinder, while the exposure level indicator will be displayed on the LCD panel
Turn the dial while pressing the shutter button halfway or with 6sec. after releasing the shutter button
On the viewfinder's exposure level scale, any position above the correct exposure index indicates overexposure and any position below it indicates underexposure. On the LCD panel, any position on the + side indicates overexposure and any position on the - side indicates underexposure.
To cancel exposure compensation, set the amount to the correct exposure index
