Reset Printing System / Re-add the Driver

It may be necessary to reset the Printing System.

Note:

  • Reset Printing System should only be used as a "last resort" for troubleshooting a printing issue. When multiple printer drivers are installed in the computer, performing the following will remove them ALL from the Printer List. (You cannot choose which one to delete or which one to keep.) All installed printers will need to be re-added.
  • Reset Printing System is available only in versions 10.4.x and later of the Mac OS X operating system
  • Login with a user name with the Computer administrator account type to delete the MP drivers. Regarding Administrator users, please refer to the Mac OS X owner's manual.
