Scaled printing

To enlarge or reduce a printed document by specifying a percentage, select 'Scaled Printing'. You cannot use this setting with borderless printing.

  1. Access the printing preferences by opening the printer Properties/ Preferences.

    For Windows 7
    • Click the 'Start' button from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and then click on 'Devices and Printers'.
    • Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Printing Preferences' from the menu that appears.

    For Windows Vista

    • Click / Select the 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', and then click on 'Printers'. Note: If you are in 'Classic' view, click 'Printers' directly from the 'Control Panel'.
    • Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.

    For Windows XP Home Edition

    • Click / Select the 'Start' button from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel,' 'Printers and Other Hardware,' and 'Printers and Faxes.'
    • Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.

    For Windows XP Professional Edition

    • Click 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and 'Printers and Faxes.'
    • Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.

    For Windows 2000

    • Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and 'Settings,' then 'Printers.'
    • Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Properties' from the menu that appears.
  2. Select the 'Page Setup' tab and under 'Page Layout', select 'Scaled Printing'.

  3. In 'Page Size', select the paper size specified in the application. If you select a size that cannot be selected in your printer, a message will display informing you that the setting has been changed to 'Fit-to-page' printing. Select 'Scaled Printing' again.

  4. In 'Orientation', select the same orientation as specified in the application (either Portrait or Landscape).

  5. In 'Printer Paper Size', select the paper size loaded in the printer. In 'Scaling', the magnification at which the document will print so as to fit exactly on the output paper size will appear as a reference value.

  6. In 'Scaling', specify the percentage. You can select from 20% to 400%.

  7. Click 'OK'.
