Follow these instructions to enable / disable or adjust the number of times the fax will redial.

Auto Redial

The fax machine is set to automatically redial when the receiving fax machine's line is busy. The default setting is to redial twice after detecting a busy signal. You can disable this setting or you can change the number of redial attempts.

  1. Make sure that the machine is turned on

  2. Press the <Setup> button.

  3. Use the button to select [Device settings], then press the <OK> button.
    The Device settings screen is displayed.

  4. Use the button to select [FAX settings], then press the <OK> button.


    The above example shows Print settings selected.

  5. Use the button to select [Transmission settings], then press the <OK> button.



  6. Use the button to select [Auto redial], then press the OK button.



    The above example shows FAX number re-entry selected.

  7. Use the or button to select [ON] or [OFF] and then press <OK>.

    ON: If you select ON, you can specify the maximum number of redial attempts and the length of time the machine waits between redial attempts.

    OFF: The machine will not automatically redial when a busy signal is detected.
    1. When ON is selected, use the or button to select the Redial times and then press <OK>. The available selections are from 1 to 10.
    2. Now use the or button to select the Redial interval and then press <OK>. The selections are from 2 to 30 minutes.
    3. If you selected OFF, proceed to step 8.
  8. Press <FAX>.
