Poster printing

Poster Printing is a useful function that allows you to enlarge a document or image and print it out on smaller individual sections. You can create large posters by joining the individual parts together.

The Poster Printing function is not available in Windows NT or when any of the following functions or options is selected:
  • Borderless Printing
  • Background Printing is disabled (In Windows Me or Windows 98). To confirm whether Background Printing is in progress, open the printer driver's Properties dialog box, select Page Setup and click Printer Control.
  1. Select the command you use to perform printing from the program you are using. (In general, select 'Print' on the File menu to open the Print dialog box.)

  2. Select your model name and click 'Preferences' (or 'Properties'). The printer driver setup window appears.

  3. Click the Page Setup tab.

  4. Specify the 'Poster Printing' settings:

    (1) Select Poster Printing.

    (2) Click 'Specify'. The Poster Printing dialog box opens.

    (3) Select the number of image divisions. The more divisions selected, the greater the number of printout pages and the larger the final poster will be when assembled.

    (4) Select this check box to print the words "Cut/Paste" in the margins for later joining.

    (5) Select this check box to print lines in the margins for later joining.

    (6) Enter numbers to specify the range of pages to be printed/not printed.

Note:You can specify areas to print/not print in the Preview area by clicking.

  5. Click 'OK'.

  6. Click 'OK' on the Page Setup tab.
