Solution

Changing the Shutter Speed and Aperture

Select the [P Programmed AE] recording program to use functions like the white balance or image effects. Select one of the other automatic exposure recording programs to control the shutter speed or aperture.

Options

P Programmed AE

The camcorder automatically adjusts the aperture and shutter speed to obtain the optimal exposure for the subject.

Tv Shutter-Priority AE

Set the shutter speed value. The camcorder automatically sets the appropriate aperture value.

Av Aperture-Priority AE

Set the aperture value. The camcorder automatically sets the appropriate shutter speed.

Setting the exposure mode.

  1. Press the <FUNC.> button.
  2. Select [P Programmed AE].
  3. Using the joystick left/right select the desired recording program and press <SET>.
  4. When you select Tv or Av, continue with the following procedure.

    To set the shutter speed or aperture value.
  5. Press <SET>.
  6. Using the joystick lef/right adjust the shutter speed or aperture value to the desired setting.
  7. Press <SET>, then the <FUNC.> button to save the setting and close the menu.
