Registering Basic Information When Sending a Fax

Before sending a fax, register the sender information (a user fax number, a user abbreviation, and the current time and date).

Registering the Sender Information

Register your machine's fax number and the unit name.

When you send faxes, the registered information is printed on at the top of the fax page.

1. Press [] (Menu).

2. Press [] or [] to select <Fax TX Settings>, and then press [OK].

3. Press [] or [] to select <Basic Settings>, and then press [OK].

4. Register the sender information.

When registering <Register Unit Telephone Number>

4-A-1. Press [] or [] to select <Register Unit Telephone Number>, and then press [OK].

4-A-2. Use the numeric keys to enter your fax number.

The number that you registered is printed on the recipient's paper.

After entering, press [] or [] to select <Apply>, and then press [OK].

When registering <Register Unit Name>

4-B-1. Press [] or [] to select <Register Unit Name>, and then press [OK].

4-B-2. Enter information such as user name or company name.

After entering, press [ ] or [ ] to select <Apply>, and then press [OK].

5. Press [] (Menu) to close the menu screen.

Setting the Current Date and Time

1. Press [] (Menu).

2. Press [] or [] to select <Timer Settings>, and then press [OK].

3. Press [] or [] to select <Time & Date Settings>, and then press [OK].

4. Press [] or [] to select <Current Time Settings>, and then [OK].

5. Use the numeric keys to enter the date and time, and then press [OK].

You can also enter the date and time by pressing [] or [] to move the cursor, and then pressing [] or [] to select a number.

Press [] or [] to switch between <AM> and <PM>.

6. Press [] (Menu) to close the menu screen.
