Description

Locate and remove a paper jam from the PIXMA iP2700 / iP2702 printer.

Solution

Follow these steps to remove the paper.

Remove jammed paper

  1. Slowly pull the paper out from the rear tray (Up Arrow) or from the paper output slot (Down Arrow), whichever is easier.

  • If you can't pull the paper out, turn the printer off and on again. The paper may automatically eject.

  • If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the printer, turn it off. Open the front cover, and remove the paper. Close the front cover when finished and turn the printer back on.

Be careful not to touch the components inside the printer.

  1. Reload the paper, and press the Resume/Cancel button on the printer.

  2. If you turned off the printer in step 1, all print jobs in the queue are canceled. Reprint if necessary.

Tips

  • Confirm that you have the correct paper loaded properly.

  • A5 size paper is best for text document prints.

  • We don't recommend A5 size paper for documents with photos or graphics. The printout may curl and cause paper jams in the output tray.
