Solution

Erasing

You can erase images from a memory card using the following criteria outlined below.

Select Erases images after selecting them one at a time.
Select Range Erase images in a Range choosing the first and last images to erase those images inbetween.
All Images Erases all images on a memory card.

  • Please note that erased images cannot be recovered. Exercise caution before erasing a file.

  • Protected images also cannot be erased.

1. Turn on the camera in the Playback mode. and select [Erase].

2. Press the [FUNC./SET] button and choose the desired criteria for image deletion (Proceed to the bottom of this page if you choose to delete [All Images].

[Select]

Use the or button on the omni selector to select an image you wish to erase and press the [FUNC./SET] button. A confirmation screen appears.

- Pressing the [FUNC./SET] button again cancels the setting.

[Select Range]

Press the button, choose [Last image] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

Press the or buttons, or turn the <Control Dial> to choose an image, and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

- You cannot choose images before the first image.

Press the button to choose [Erase] then press the <FUNC./SET> button.

[All Images]

Choose [All Images] from the erase menu, and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

Press the or buttons or turn the <Control Dial> to choose [OK] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

  • Protected images cannot be erased with the erase function.
  • The [Erase all] function erases all the image data recorded on the memory card.
  • You should format the memory card when you want to erase not only image data but also all the data contained on the card.
