Using the Zoom

1. Press the Zoom ever toward or .

The zoom can be adjusted from 35 -105 mm (focal length) in 35mm film equivalent terms.

Telephoto: Zooms in on the subject.

Wide: Zooms out from the subject.

Digital Zoom

When the LCD monitor is on, you can shoot with a combined optical and digital zoom factor of approximately 12x. To provide a combined Optical and Digital Zoom of 35 - 420 mm (focal length) in 35mm film equivalent terms. This is set through the menu.

Please note that the image will appear with more grain as the digital zoom factor increases.
