Description

Changing the USB connection mode on FS and HF series camcorders.

Solution

The default operation when the camcorder is connected to the DW-100 DVD burner or a Computer/Pictbridge printer is to display the device connection screen*.

When the camcorder is connected the display will read.

[SELECT THE DEVICE TYPE FOR THE USB CONNECTION]

[DVD BURNER PC/PRINTER]

Using the joystick select the desired operation and press the <SET> button.
- The camcorder will enter the desired communication mode.

From the [SYSTEM SETUP] menu the default operation may be changed so that the camcorder always performs the same operation if desired. Perform the steps listed below to change the default USB connection operation.

  1. Turn the camera on in either Camera or Movie playback mode.
  2. Press the <FUNC.> button.
  3. Using the joystick select the [MENU] icon and press <SET>.
  4. Using the joystick select the [SYSTEM SETUP] menu and press <SET>.
  5. Using the joystick select the [USB SETTING] menu and press <SET>.
  6. Select the desired operation (DVD BURNER or PC/PRINTER or CONNECT & SET (default)) and press <SET>.
  7. Press the <FUNC.> button to close the menu.

*HG10 models with DW-100 compatibility firmware update only.
