Install Battery Pack NB-4L (supplied) as shown below.

Please charge the battery pack before you use it for the first time.


1. Slide the memory card slot/battery cover and open it.(,).

2. Insert the battery until it locks.

4. Close the memory card slot/battery cover (,).

  • Please watch the loading slot area carefully as you insert and remove the battery pack.
  • Do not turn off the power or open the battery cover while the camera's indicator blinks green. The camera is writing, reading, erasing or transmitting an image to or from the SD card.
  • Remove the battery pack when the camera is not in use. Please note, however, that the date, time and other camera settings may reset to the default settings if the battery pack has been removed for more than three weeks.

Please use an AC Adapter Kit ACK-DC10 (sold separately) for extended use of the camera.

Battery pack charge is low. Recharge it as soon as possible before it is required for an extended period.

When the LCD monitor is off, this icon will display when you press any button other than the power or (Print/Share) button.

"Change the battery pack"

Battery charge is insufficient to operate the camera. Replace the battery pack immediately.

Installing the Memory Card

1. Insert the memory card until it clicks into place as shown.

2. Close the memory card slot/battery cover (,).

To Remove the Battery / Memory Card

Press the battery lock in the direction of the arrow and the battery will pop up to be removed.

Push the memory card with your finger or the toggle on the wrist strap until the memory card clicks and then release it. Then pull the card straight out.

Ensure that the memory card is correctly oriented before inserting it in the camera. Inserting it backward may cause the camera to fail to recognize the memory card or to malfunction.
