Solution

Reset the machine to show the new default values

After changing the default values for the copy settings the display will still show the old default values. To have the new values show in the display, the machine needs to be reset. You can reset the machine one of the following ways to have the new copy defaults show in the display.

  1. Press the [] (Reset) button.
  2. Cycle the main power switch Off, then back On.
  3. Put the machine into Energy Saver mode, then bring the machine out of Energy Saver mode.
