How to Restore Printer and Router Communication

Description

If your printer and router can't communicate, you may need to cycle the power, off and on to restore communication. 

Solution

 If your printer no longer prints or scans wirelessly, you may need turn the printer and router off / on to restore communication.

Note Note that wireless communication between all of your devices and the wireless network will be lost while you complete these steps.
  1. Press the printer ON button to power off the printer.

  2. Wait 10 seconds, then press the ON button to power the printer back on.

  3. If there is a power button on the router, press it to turn off the device. Wait 10 seconds, then power it back on. If there is no power button, you may have to disconnect the power cord / AC adapter. Check with the device's user manual.
